Dr. Hicks was born in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Alvin, playing sandlot baseball with Nolan Ryan. Dr. Hicks graduated from Alvin High School in 1962. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1968. Dr. Hicks operated a veterinary clinic specializing in equine medicine from 1968 to 1988. He treated both large and small animals until he opened Old Town Animal Hospital in Katy, Texas, in 1997.
Dorissa Lucio is a 2009 graduate from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada. She began working at Old Town Animal Hospital in 2016. She enjoys the variety of cases that practicing in general veterinary medicine has to offer. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
Dr. Chea graduated in 2015 from the Royal Veterinary College in London. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, and her Master’s Degree in Animal Behavior at Queen’s University in Belfast, Ireland. She was born and raised in New Orleans, and it was her life long dream to become a veterinarian. She moved to Katy and joined Old Town Animal Hospital in January 2016. In her free time, she loves to run, travel, and spend time with her husband and dog Miley.
